Each month we will be bringing you a review of an online shopping experience we’ve had personally with a NZ/Australian online women’s clothing retailer. We’ll share with you how their site performed, how easy it was to browse and find what we were looking for, and the interaction between the company and us, the shopper. Plus we’ll share how the sizing is and how the store handles returns.
This month we are reviewing: Pagani (http://www.pagani.co.nz/)
I sometimes wonder if I’m a bit old to be shopping at Pagani; there’s a lot of stuff in there I wouldn’t wear, but occasionally I see something I really like. In this instance, I’ve had my eye on this jacket for awhile and it eventually came on sale.
Overall Results
I have to say I’m impressed with the care Pagani took to pack and delivery my item. Wow – the presentation was incredible. The website was easy to use and easy to find what you were looking for. Payment process was easy and the order arrived quickly.
The Website
I found the Pagani website easy to use. It’s not the first time I’ve purchased something online from Pagani, so I did already have an account set up.
I’m probably (alright, definitely) not the target market demographic for the store, so couldn’t relate well to the models they used.
The images were clear and I liked the roll-over of being able to view the reverse side of the garment quickly, before delving deeper for more information.
Scrolling to the bottom, I always use the VIEW ALL link – why wouldn’t you? It was a breeze to navigate my way around, and complete the purchasing process.
It was useful to read reviews that other customers had posted too.
My only niggle (and it’s not a big one) was that I purchased a pair of earrings and there was no size comparison, so they were WAY larger in size they I’d expected.
Pagani offer an email newsletter signup on the site, so you can keep updated on the latest products and sales.
The website is optimised for mobile viewing, and looks great on mobile devices.
Customer Service
As part of the review we like to experience the customer service of the retailer. In this instance, I was inbetween minds as to whether to keep the jacket or swap down a size.
I ended up visiting the local outlet of Pagani to see if they did have a smaller size. Although an unsuccessful trip, the customer service was great. The shop assistance was really friendly and did offer to ring around other stores for me.
Delivery
Shipping was stated as a very reasonable $4.95 (although I did have to look to find this out). But by the time I got to the cart, it was calculated as free (my order totalled: $40.00). Seems all orders over $39.90 receive free delivery. Why, thank you Pagani.
Estimated shipping time is 1-2 working days upon receiving your dispatch confirmation email.
So I was pleasantly surprised when the next day a courier was dropping off the parcel and requiring a signature. To recap; I placed my order at 11am on the Thursday and it arrived Friday 10.30am. Wow.
The items were packed in tissue paper a Pagani box – packed with Pagani love…. It made a great impression.
Product
I was really happy with the items that I purchased online. I ordered:
I’ve bought jackets from Pagani before and ordered 12, so I’m not sure what possessed me to order a 14 as it is slightly too big. But I’ll keep it and it’ll be fine for layer underneath over winter.
Returns
As mentioned above, I attempted to swap the sizing of the jacket at a local store. Yes, returns can be taken to any Pagani store or sent to the Auckland branch. Note that you do only have 14 days to return your item (the shop assistant even thought it might be 7 days – perhaps this is for shop sales).
Summary
So all in all, I would rate Pagani as an excellent online shopping experience. The website is modern, easy to use and the payment process is simple. Speedy delivery and the AMAZING attention to detail in the packaging gave it the WOW factor. I can highly recommend online shopping at Pagani (even if you’re an old girl like me).
